Directions to the preconference

Hello participants,

The conference will be held at the University of Toronto Mississauga in the Maanjiwe nendamowinan building on the 3rd floor in the Collaborative Digital Research Space (CDRS) MN3230. There is wheelchair accessible access to the space via ramps and elevators. Information on how to get to the campus, including maps and directions, shuttle bus, public transit options, and parking can be found on the Visitors page.

For folks planning to get to UTM via the Shuttle Bus from the St. George campus near the ICA Conference location at the Sheraton Centre Toronto Hotel:

  • Here is the schedule for your reference. Please see information about the departure point from the St. George campus (across from Convocation Hall at King’s College Road and Galbraith Road. Other information and a Google Street View of the Shuttle Bus location is available on the Service Schedule page.
  • If you would like your shuttle bus tickets, there are three (3) ways you can do it
    • via Christine Tran from 4-6pmin the Dual Citizen of the Sheraton Centre Toronto Hotel on May the 24th, the day before the preconference
    • via Christopher Young at the St. George campus Shuttle Bus pickup location, waiting for the 6:55am bus on May 25th 
    • via Christine Tran at the St. George campus Shuttle Bus pickup location, waiting for the 7:35am bus on May 25th

Picking up your tickets on the 24th gives you more flexibility on when you can leave, but a friendly reminder that the preconference begins at 9am at the Collaborative Digital Research Space (CDRS) MN3230 on the University of Toronto Mississauga campus, approximately 33km away from the ICA Conference location at the Sheraton Centre Toronto Hotel. The Shuttle Bus takes approximately 35-60 minutes depending on traffic.
